Title: End of Faire
Mon Oct 8 11:50:03 2007
Faire is over! I am happy it is over, but sad as well. All the cast, and most of the vendors finished the weekend exhausted, dehydrated and sweating to high heaven. It was ungodly hot out; on the second day, we topped 92. Half of our nobles and pirate cast were stricken by the heat, and several were taken to the hospital for observation after fear of passing out. I myself suffered a sprained ankle during one of the "Scotch Extra" shows and had to be taken off-site by an ambulance, but returned happily, if gimpy, the next day. I didn't sell as much as I had hoped, and everything posted on the site is still in my possession and available for purchase. More will be added soon, as I get the chance to photograph and upload them. However, it's not all bad news. I met a merchant there who travels to nearly every major Faire across the country in the course of 11 months, and I have signed an artist's contract with him to carry and sell my pieces at said Faires. So, should you find yourself at a Renaissance Faire, and there is a large Bedoin tent there, stop in. Over 100 artisans are represented there, and I am now one of them! Otherwise, there isn't much news to report, except that I am now working on learning new weaves, with new metals, and working to expand my repertoire into larger and more extensive bases! So keep your eyes peeled for new stuff!
Title: Ren Faire
Tue Jul 31 18:08:13 2007
Well, Renaissance Faire time is upon me, and I am working like mad to build up enough stock for Fishers Faire here in Indy. Anyone who is interested in looking at my work in person, or interested in buying!!!, is encouraged to attend the Faire - in garb or out - and stop by my tent. Hopefully, many of you in the area will attend! WHEE! PS - New pictures of maille will be posted soon: I've finished a bunch of new earrings and am working on finishing a slew of necklaces, head pieces, and bracelets in addition!
